What I'm building
Projects
These are the projects, experiments and ideas I’m working on outside of the
day-to-day running of my homelab. Some are active, some are early, and some
are still taking shape.
Retro Refresh
A project focused on refurbishing and upgrading retro tech, starting with
iPods and expanding into other devices over time.
- iPod Classic flash and battery upgrades
- Testing parts before selling anything
- Building a repeatable and reliable workflow
Fitrics
A project to analyse fitness data from FIT files and turn it into something
more useful and easier to understand.
- Processing activity data
- Exploring visualisations and trends
- Building something I would genuinely use myself
This site
AdamBray.me is a project in its own right. It’s where I document what I’m
building, what’s working, and what I’ve learned along the way.
- Writing about my homelab and systems
- Creating a clear public home for projects
- Keeping things simple and personal
Future ideas
Not everything needs to be fully formed before it earns a place here.
These are the areas I want to explore next.
- Small internal tools for my own use
- Better backup and workflow tooling
- Automations that solve real problems at home
How I think about projects
I’m not interested in building things just for the sake of it. The projects
here are all tied to something practical, something I want to improve, or
something I want to understand properly.
